"We begin our journey of buying a home from overseas. My husband is in the Air Force, and we have been stationed in Tokyo, Japan, for the past four years. Our options were to take another assignment that would have taken us back to the U.S. When we decided that retirement was the best option, I decided to take a quick look at homes around the Austin area. Soon after, I crossed paths with Rene, and she sent me properties based on my criteria. She was very good at connecting with us and communicating often. She sent me several e-mails and asked questions about my liking and needs. Admittedly, I feel a little embarrassed to tell you that I didn't reply to her for a long time, mainly because I wasn't sure about our future, my idea was to check on the market. I'm telling you this because Rene's patience with me was the factor that made me want to work with her and her only. She respected my time and never rushed me to move in any direction, and we greatly appreciated that. Rene was very informative; she responded very quickly to any of my emails, concerns, questions, or to make things clear when I was confused. She was very flexible in the way we communicated, keeping in mind that we were on the other side of the world with a 15-hour time difference. Rene even helped us when she was at home away from work. That small attention to detail made our lives easier. Buying a home is always a stressful time. If you add the extra challenge of not even being in the same country, well you can imagine how much more difficult that becomes!
